In a month I will be traveling to costa rica and when I am there I am going to go on some of those adventure zip lines. The zip lines go through the rain forests and I heard that they go pretty fast. I have a normal digital camera that takes video clips but I do not want to hold the camera while I am going on the zip line. I would really like to video tape my surroundings as I go on the zip line so I was thinking of purchasing a small action camera that I could attach to my body. Kind of like a spy camera, except it doesnt have to be "secret" and I would like the quality to be better. I know of cameras that you can buy that attach to snowboarding/skateboarding helmets but I’m not sure if i will always be wearing a helmet. Are there cameras that you can wear around your neck? or as a bracelet. Whats a website to purchase small portable video cameras?
Whatever outdoor activity you enjoy, whether its skateboarding, biking, or basejumping, the SportCam is the ideal action camera for you. It is perfect for those times when you want to capture the moment, but find that your hands are full. www.ElectroFlip.com

I bought a spy pen video camera. It has an 8 gig hard drive so I thought if the camera is crap I’ve got a thumb drive with a pen. This is my first attempt at using it on the bike. I used elastic bands and tissue paper to position it inside the helmet. It doesn’t seem to like the wind or high revs so I’ve dumped the audio. Considering the thing is so cheap, its not bad. It records in avi files with 25 fps @ 640 x 480. It charges in the usb port. The battery lasts about 2 hours (manufacturer’s claim) and can record about 5 hours of video.
