You didn’t buy it from us Jerkey. And this is the old one. The latest have 30fps & 640 x 480. Excellent clear video.

To EyeSpyPro: I have this camera pen but after the initial charge I turned it on and the indicator light stayed yellow with no response to button pushes. I used the reset feature and turned it back on…same problem. Also, when the pen is “locked” this way, no pc will recognise it in the USB port. Any suggestions gratefully received. :)

Try sticking the end of a small paper clip in the hole below the light to reset it. If that does not work, erase & reformat the drive. We put together a short video, go to the site & @ the top under videos is how to do it. Hope that helps. Contact us if not.

Thanks EyeSpyPro…will give this a try but the problem will be trying to get any computer to recognise the darned thing. Once again, thanks for the prompt reply….much appreciated. :)

@EyeSpyPro …Tried reformatting (after struggling with two PCs to get the thing recognized) and even put in the new userconfig.txt. The thing still turns on and stays on (solid yellow light) but I did get it to record once (blue light). Once it finished recording, I switched it off at the top. When I switched it back on the solid yellow light thing happened again and it can’t be recognized by any PC. So frustrating…Do you have an ideas? All replies gratefully received! :)

Try formatting the drive if it shows up on the PC. Right click to format, select quick format & hit ok.

Thanks for your continuing support, EyeSpyPro…a worthy thing in these days of chicanery. I did what you suggested and the thing works (fingers crossed). Now I will go and have some fun with it!

I got one at my local electronics shop the other day. Used it at my local grocery and shopping mall for some undisclosed fun.
Picture is very good, audio is a little muffled.
Off a 3 hour charge I’ll get 45 straight minutes of recording? Does this sound about right?
Also, about 3/4 through the vid, i get a loud annoying buzzing in the audio. I believe it’s due to the battery level dropping off?
    Anyone else experience these issues?

Yes, but it s discontinued and we only have a couple left. All the new ones, like the Upgraded Spy Pen DVR work fine on the Mac.

  • By justinjiang, February 19, 2010 @ 4:10 am

what do you mean discontinued? But it is still work on mac that has windows using parallel right?

I got this pen and used it alright to record – I know that it recorded cos when I checked the properties after each recording it keeps reducing (I mean the size) but what is disturbing is that as soon as I plug the usb to my laptop (vista) it recognizes it as a removable flash disk but no info is displayed AT ALL. what could be the problem?
